To come up with a furrow irrigation design, you need to set up the field primarily i.e. a ploughing tool, e.g. a power tiller and a sickle or a grass trimmer to weed out the land. Next, a ridger to create furrows and a water pump to pump water. Installation of gates in each furrow is also recommended.
